I love football. In all of it's forms. From the clinical sides of the greatest European leagues, the passionate displays in international tournaments, the giant-killing of domestic cups, to the kids down the road that use jumpers for goalposts. I love to watch, to hear, to play this Beautiful Game like nothing else in the world. There's very little that can dampen my enthusiasm for it, despite the myriad of scandals that can and have arisen from it.It disappoints me for awhile, and then I'm back.
But there's one problem. FIFA. A textbook example of an evil, multinational corporate company that owns football completely. If it wasn't real it would be beyond parody what with the shenanigans they get up to. This makes FIFA sound whimsical when in all reality they are very much not. Any football fan worth their salt will tell you all about the ills of FIFA, how it constantly takes bribes and turns a blind eye.
But when you ask a football fan "what will you do?", the answer will be nothing. We love this game so much, that we put up with all the crap offloaded onto us.
